She is also a writer, which means she’s literate, and that’s probably why she attracted America’s greatest pseudo-intellectual Woody Allen. Did he see her in the horror movie Blood Bath (1976) or in the classic episode of Starsky and Hutch, “Dandruff,” where she plays Lorraine. Either way, he cast her first in his comedy The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) and then again in Radio Days (1987). Say what you want about the moral and ethical failings of this diminutive auteur, one thing is certain. He likes women, and got Sydney to bare her butt for a peeper in Radio Days.
